Location – Highfield CE Primary School, Hawthorn Road, Highfield, Southampton. SO17 1PX (Junior Site) or Church Lane, Highfield, Southampton. SO17 1SY (Infant Site)

Post 1 – Fixed term from 1st September 2022 until 31st August 2023

Post 2 – Permanent from 1st September 2022

FTE Salary Min – £22,759  pro rata

FTE Salary Max – £24,920 pro rata

Post 1 –  30 hours (Junior Site) – Fixed term

Post 2 – 26.50 hours (Infant Site) – Permanent

We are looking for two people to join our team in our friendly, supportive and successful school.

Post 1: 5 days per week at the junior site.  Post hours 08:55 – 15:25 this post will include lunch cover for 30 minutes.

Post 2: 5 days per week.  Post hours 09:00 – 15:15 with one hour for lunch.

Post 1 is based at the Junior Site in Hawthorn Road, Highfield, Southampton and Post 2 is based at the Infant Site in Church Lane, Highfield, Southampton.

The ideal candidates will have the ability to build good working relationships, be organised, enjoy working with children and “making a difference.”

Good literacy and numeracy skills will also be essential in order to confidently support pupils in their learning when clarifying and explaining learning. Being sensitive to different needs and personalities, demonstrating empathy and warmth and being aware of the emotional needs of children would be highly beneficial. We welcome applications from candidates who also are keen to see this as a first step towards a future career in teaching.

FTE Salary Min – £22,759 Grade 6, SCP 12

FTE Salary Max – £24,920 Grade 6, SCP 17

Hours – 37 – split shift – 7.30 – 11.30am and 2.30 – 6.00pm – Mon – Thurs.

7.30 – 11.30am and 2.30 – 5.30pm – Friday    52 weeks per year.
