Governors

What do the Governors do?

Governors oversee the use of the school's budget, and have responsibility to obtain value for money for that budget.  They are also responsible for the appointment of the head teacher. In addition, Governors monitor, support and challenge the Head Teacher and staff on how well the policies and targets are followed through.

Who is on the governing body?

  • 2 x Parent Governors
  • 5 x Foundation Governors (2 of whom at the time of their appointment shall be eligible for election or appointment as parent governors) and the Vicar of Highfield Church (or a church representative)
