Sea City Trip

The Year 1s and 2s spent a fantastic day at Sea City Museum linking their literacy learning about Floella Benjamin arriving in Southampton (in a book called Coming To England) with how Southampton is a gateway to the world.

They had fun making clay ocean liners and were history detectives: using artefacts in the museum to learn about Southampton's past.

DT Day

If you had visited the year 1/2 classrooms on Monday, you might have mistaken them for Santa's workshop, with the children all beavering away decorating t-shirts to create Elf Coats! They used a variety of ways of joining fabric and decorations to their shirts, and their finished results will be admired by the other children during a fashion show on Friday.
