Our Church
The school enjoys a close working relationship with Highfield Church and there is regular contact with church members assisting in school. We regularly meet as a school family in the church where we join together for collective worship. Every Thursday, we meet in the church at normal times. We have strong relationships with the Children and Families’ Pastor, Hemi Crane, who strongly supports the Christian ethos of the school.
HIGHFIELD CHURCH VISION FOR CHILDREN & FAMILIES
At Highfield Church, we believe that our role is to partner with parents to nurture children's faith. All the evidence suggests that childhood is the biggest window of opportunity we get. The Barna Research Institute in 2000 suggested that children up to the age of 13 are 5 times more likely to come to faith than adults. We want to make the most of this window, supporting parents to lay foundations to build a faith which will last a lifetime.
Our children’s work is Highfield Kids - an umbrella that takes us from a Sunday in age-related groups, to all age worship services, to Tiddlywinks and other outreach activities.
The vision for Highfield Kids runs through all we do - we want children to Meet Jesus, Know Jesus, Serve and Share Jesus.
It's not just about Sundays but more importantly how faith is supported the other 6 days!
