It was wonderful to see the 3/4s show off their writing skills this week in the style of the Iron Man. They wrote in the style of the book, using prepositions, similes and dialogue. The setting descriptions were wonderful. Well done 3/4!

It was wonderful today to walk to the Little Common and identify British trees by their leaves. This was taught in previous years but it can be hard to remember, so we revisited our learning. It was so fun looking at the environment around us, discussing seasonal changes and showing respect for our local area.

We asked the pupils to do a simple pre assessment and show us what they can already do in art this week. Skye however blew us away with this stunning drawing of a plant in our classroom! We can wait to see what she can draw after we have taught her more techniques such as cross hatching, shading and light tough techniques. Well done Skye!

It was an absolute joy to spend time with the new classes today. Everyone had so much fun, especially the teachers! We have started to build a wonderful class culture of respect and kindness. In Australasia we painted some sunflowers with watercolours. It was great to see the focus the class showed doing a still life painting plus they all turned out so differently, sharing our personalities too!
