Year 3/4 have been really busy this summer term in creating their own a catapult. It needed to meet their design criteria and be suitable for the Romans to use in battle. This meant when firing the payload, it must be able to reach an intended target and travel a certain distance. To ensure that their catapults achieved the design criteria, the children used a plan-do-review cycle. They would test their catapult and review it, then they would design the improvements needed and build their catapult again. We have been really impressed with their final pieces!
