It has been a fantastic start to the week for our year 6s as they have started rehearsals for their end of year performance! After auditions, the children all have a part to play in their end of year production of ‘Going for Gold’, and have begun this week with their daily practice. Whilst the children are waiting to work on their scene, they have been set a very special writing task to work on independently. This year, the children have all experienced a range of writing journeys, which they now have the chance to apply to an idea of their choice. Some have chosen diaries, some have chosen house listening and we have some very interesting ideas for how everyday objects really work! It has been great to see the children being so reflective in looking back in their books to remind themselves about the features, purpose and audience, and apply these skills to creative idea of their choice!
