Tadpoles and Chickens!

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

The pupils have been in awe at the new life we have in school, tadpoles and chicken eggs!

Thanks to Mrs Warr and Mrs Ahmad we set up frogspawn in two lovely tanks. They are growing so quickly and it has been so interesting to watch them start to form little legs. We hope to be able to release any frogs back to the original pond or school junior pond.

Our chicken eggs you may have read about in our school updates… They are turned every two hours by the pupils and kept at a very constant 38 degrees. From candling them, we believe we can see 4 developing chicks but time will tell! Due 23rd March. We are hopeful we can keep these at school for as long as possible for the children to see a lifecycle.
