What a way to the end the week! In year 5/6, we have spent the morning creating clay mythical creatures, which links to our Greek topic from last term. The children have planned their creatures and explored their ideas based upon the clay techniques we have been looking at this half term. The children have learnt lots of new vocabulary (like additive, subtractive and moulding), which they used to plan out their steps before they began creating! The children have all been so resilient and reflective when creating their mythical creatures: they changed their ideas, had to adapt and even changed their creatures all together! Overall, it has been a great way to end the week, and the children are excited to bring their final creations home once they are painted!
