We are learning all about sound in 3/4 this term. We have been making lots of observations on how we hear, and how sound is made. So far this has involved taking a sound survey around the school, observing the vibrations that are made from instruments and playing a game of bats and moths. We are now able to tell you that sound is made through vibrations and the air atoms vibrating around the objects that made the sound. These vibrating air atoms then travel in sound waves to our ears. We learnt that amplitude is the size of the sound wave that is created from the loudness of the sound.
