This week in year 6 the children have been enjoying a lovely, relaxing start to the day! The year 6s have their leavers week in school, so we have been starting each morning with a tasty snack and giving the children a chance to chat with their friends. The focus of the week is to give the children a range of activities to celebrate their final year at Highfield school. Yesterday, the classes sketched an Iris flower (which symbolises Faith and Hope), and left a message linked to our core values to leave behind. Today, the children will be watching a film all about identity, and then thinking about how this can apply to them as they move into secondary school next year.
