Year 3/4 have been learning about Paul Klee in Art. He was an abstract painter from Germany who lived 100 years ago.
We have been looking at some of his famous pieces and noticed common features in his painting style. For example, many of his pictures were made out of shapes. There were often – though not always! – thick black lines and lots of bright colours too.
Mixing a wide range of colours from just the primary colours (red, yellow and blue), black and white, we painted our own undersea pictures in Paul Klee’s style, and talked about which of Klee’s pieces of artwork we used as inspiration. We were really pleased with the results!
