Firefighter visit

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

This week Year 1 were very fortunate to be visited by a firefighter from Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service. We now know even more information about fire safety and learned a few rhymes to help us remember important information to keep us all safe.

“Matches and lighters, never touch, they can hurt you very much!”

In the event of a fire indoors…

“Get out, stay out, call 999!”

Also, we learned the importance of checking our smoke alarms once a week and “Test it Tuesday” is the phrase the children will use to remind our adults at home to check theirs (even staff too!)

It was so lovely to be able to welcome a visitor to the school again!
