Year 3’s terrific 3D shapes!

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

Our topic for maths this week has been shapes. We have been looking at the properties of both 2D and 3D shapes, and we are all now experts! To show how confident we are on shapes, we constructed our own 3D shapes using straws and play-doh. The straws represented edges and the play-doh represented vertices. First we measured the length of our edges, then put them together to make the faces of our 3D shape. It was tricky, but we managed to make stable 3D shapes!
