In Year 5/6, we celebrated Book Week and World Book Day with a number of fun and exciting activities.
On Monday, the children brought in cryptic clues to try to befuddle their friends! They tried desperately to work out how the clues related to a famous book title!
On Tuesday, the children took part in a Book Exchange. They brought in well-loved books that they were ready to part with. Lots of children had the chance to swap their old stories for new ones! I twas great to see a bit of recycling and reusing going on!
Thursday saw us celebrating World Book Day. Children had the opportunity to come in dressed as their favourite book character. We had a variety of characters wandering around the school, from Harry Potter to the Cat in the Hat! In the afternoon, we had book-themed activities with our link classes in year 3/4! All in all, it has been a wonderful celebration of all things book-related!
