Fairthorne Manor Reports

This half term, children in Asia class have been writing their own blog entries about some of their most memorable experiences this term. Here are two of our reports on the Fairthorne Manor trip!
Our Trip To Fairthorne Manor
This year, the Year 6 pupils went to Fairthorne Manor for a week, which is an outdoor activity centre.
We slept in rooms of 3 to 6. We went so we could do fun activities like camo & tracking, where you had to cover your WHOLE body in mud. We didn’t only do fun activities, we also learned some important life lessons: fire lighting (if you’re stranded in a forest and need to keep warm) and den building (if you get lost in a woods and you need a place to sleep in for the night.)
Another thing that we did at Fairthorne was eat mouth-watering food like chicken kababs and pork sausages. We also got to play in the park where there was a football pitch where we played football with the teachers.
Fairthotne was the best part of the year, for some individuals, maybe even all of the Year 6’s best part of the year so far. We all agree that we had an amazing time!
The Year 6 Residential Trip
This year on the 18th September, the Year 6 classes went on a 5-day residential trip to Fairthorne Manor, an outside activity centre. We had the chance to do a variety of different sports and activities, and got very muddy along the way! We did 3 different water sports: sailing, kayaking and canoeing. We tested our limits and abilities, conquering our fears and facing teamwork challenges.
We did lots of activities such as the initiative test, den building, fire building and climbing tower but some of our favourites were camo and tracking, team challenge, the aqua slide and the bouncy pillow. As well as the activities, we got the chance to participate in a great disco and an awesome camp fire.
We all had a wonderful time but all of us were glad to be home on Friday!
