On Tuesday 20th October, 11 Y4,5 &6 children from Mrs Hickox’ choir, spent a morning at King Edward VI school taking part in a music workshop with their chamber choir. They sang 2 songs – You’ve Got A Friend In Me and Chattanooga Choo Choo, which sounded amazing, especially as there were lots of older boys singing the bass parts!

In the evening, the choir met at the Turner Sims Concert Hall, and performed together with some other junior schools and the KES chamber choir. Afterwards, they joined the audience to watch a concert featuring the KES chamber orchestra who played some pieces alongside The Southbank Sinfonia. It was a fantastic evening and the children were exceptionally well behaved. It was a great opportunity for them to hear high quality live music and to perform in a world class venue.
