The children had fun exploring a range of artefacts, in an aim to distinguish, with the help of historical sources, those that were invented by the Ancient Egyptians. The use of books, iPads and paintings among other sources, aided the children’s detective powers, and enabled them to make some very interesting and surprising links!
The children have also travelled back in time once again, as the death of King Tutankhamun occurred, and some years after, when his tomb was discovered by Howard Carter. They have thought about their word choice and the reader, during their writing of newspaper articles which have brought these momentous occasions to life once more! The children are clearly striving to meet all of their Target Steps for writing too, referencing them, carefully editing their writing, and using them to help their peer improve with peer feedback.
