Children in Maple enjoy reading ‘Magic Key’ books for their home-school readers. But, when we closely analysed the language used in the text, the children thought they could do even better! Pupils wrote their own versions of the story and learnt to ‘up level’ sentences to make them more interesting for the reader. They used adjectives carefully to add more description and better word choices. They were very proud of their final results and will be sharing them next week during ‘stay and share’.
