One of the wonderful things about working at Highfield is having the privilege of seeing children taking off in their learning. From he moment an infant child realises that they can read or a child takes off in their enjoyment of writing or the penny drops when solving a maths problem in the juniors are moments that we are able to share in as staff in the school. I was thrilled to see some of the writing about enchanted castles taking place this morning and the amazing choices of words and sentences that the children have used to create fantastic stories. Here is a snapshot of take off in learning from Lucas, one of our boys in Year 1. The first piece of independent writing is from September and the second piece is from today. We are so proud of all our super learners at Highfield.
