A big thank you to the HSA for funding a fantastic visit from Sublime Science company (as seen on BBC’s Dragon’s Den!). Every child in the school on Monday got a chance to witness the magic of chemistry and get hands on with (safe) chemicals- something when surveyed they all expressed interest in. Although still closely linked to our National Curriculum and learning we were able to have a go at mixing our very own sherbet and purple slime, make smoke bubbles and keep a ball hovering with air power- as you can imagine this went down very well with the children! Year R explored their 5 senses whilst Year 1-2 added to their properties of materials knowledge and can now all explain what malleable means. Thank you to Sublime Science, this is a memory and science experience that will not be forgotten!
