It was Mexic0 all the way on Friday March 10th!
Throughout the morning, the children sharpened their culinary skills in the kitchen, helping to prepare such Mexican delicacies as guacamole, sour cream, tortillas, salsa and limeade. They had to wait until after lunchtime, to sample their hard work. In North America, Sour Cream was the favoured dip!
The children continued with the Mexican versions of ‘Town Mouse – Country Mouse’ and had them compeleted by lunchtime. At the very end of the day, we shared them with Europe class who were greatly impressed by what they saw.
The Year 3 and 4 children were also lucky enough to watch North America, along with the rest of Year 5/6, perform their Mexican songs and dance, accompanied by the thumping beat of our very own Mexican band!
North America were also lucky enough to have a Conversational Spanish lesson, led by our very own Senorita Armstrong and Senora Guzman! Parents – why not see how much Spanish your children have remembered!
